How to Make Your Lipstick Last Longer


Though lipstick gives you a more alluring and attractive look, but the most common dilemma associated with lipstick is that it doesn’t last long and corrodes away just after a few hours of application. Lip color especially fades after eating or drinking, right!

However, from now there is no need to bother about retouching the lipstick many times a day as help is just around the corner. A few tricks to make the lip color enduring are discussed in this article.

Blot it with a tissue

Coat your lips with selected lip color and then simply blot it with a tissue. Now, put on another coat in the same way as two coats of paint are putted on.

It’s one of the easiest and simplest way to make the lipstick last long. Double coats of lipcolor along with tissue paper give a much better look. The first coat helps sealing the tint right into the lips and the second one gives a bight and fresh look to the lipstick.

Exfoliate your lips

Be sure to prime your lips before applying lipstick. Soft and smooth lips will surely hold the color for long. Dab on lip-balm and let it sink into the lips completely; it will take more or less five minutes to sink. Then take a soft and hygiene toothbrush and move it over your lips gently in circular motion to remove chapped skin from the lips. Finally apply the lipstick as normal.

Liquid Foundation

Coating the lips with foundation prior to the application of lipstick also makes the lipstick stay for long. Foundation encloses the color to your lips; thereby lipstick sticks to the lips and lasts longer.


Simply apply a little powder on your pouts, it induces dryness to your lips which in result balances the lipstick oil and thus prevents the lipstick from smearing. This way powder helps much to hold the lipstick for long. After applying powder, apply lipstick as usual.
